Denise Lewins has been working as a podiatrist for the past 25 years.
After training in Wellington she spent the next 10 years working in Australia and the United Kingdom. On returning to New Zealand in 1994, she was involved in setting up the community diabetes foot clinic in South Auckland and also worked in the foot ulcer clinic at Manukau Super Clinic. She resigned from the diabetes service in 2000 to spend more time with her family.
13 years ago she set up practice in the Three Kings and Blockhouse Bay Medical Centres where she is still enjoying practicing today.
Anthony Ng
B.Sc (Pod), B.Ed, Dip Tch
Anthony graduated originally with a Bachelor of Education at the University of Auckland, but his passion was always running. This led him to restudy and graduate with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Podiatry.
After graduating, Anthony set up his orthotic business where he specialised in designing and manufacturing custom orthoses. He is also contracted to Counties Manukau District Health Board (CMDHB) at the Diabetic Foot Ulcer and Rheumatoid Clinic as well as a popular sports shoe retailer where he is the specialist biomechanical podiatrist.
In his spare time he is usually out running. Anthony achieved a 3rd place at the NZ National Ultra Distance (100km) Championship in 2009. More recently he ran the length of the South Island of New Zealand to fundraise for the Counties Manuka District Health Board foot clinic.
